Short 'n' Sweet 001: Lamb To The Slaughter by Roald Dahl

08/02/2010

Dahl is more known for his classic children's books, but here he has taken a swing at a new genre and done very well.

Submission Guidelines

08/01/2010

QuillPod is always looking for fresh new content to turn into high quality audio productions. If you are a writer and are interested in submitting a thriller story to us, here are the guidelines.

We take two lengths of audio: Featured Fiction , which is between 5000 and 7000 words. These are our normally scheduled runs; and Short & Sweet Fiction, which are interspersed in between our regular stories. These pieces are primarily 2000 and 3000 words.

We will accept anything that falls under the thriller category. Our definition of this is anything that can keep the reader's attention; which can include but is not limited to: horror, mystery sci-fi. If you are unsure you can always submit it and we will get back to you with our decision.

If you have an accepted submission we will pay via paypal or money order. We pay $20 for S&S Fiction and $50 for Featured Fiction. If you have any further questions please feel free to email us at support@quillpod.com

And if you are more of a talker, we are also looking for narrators to help us read our stories. Compensation for a FF is $25, and for a S&S $20. Please email us if you are interested.

Thanks and Happy Reading

Episode 001: The Pit and The Pendulum by Edgar Allan Poe

07/29/2010

Everyone has the fear of death, but no one has a better feel of thanatophobia than Poe. One wonders how he came by this knowledge; was he the receiver or bringer of death?
